Also core architectural concepts (like distribution-, product model, Business Process Management, collateral-asset management …) for long-term growth and flexibility are specified.

The Business Alignment can be optionally complemented with the Business Blueprinting resulting in detailed process descriptions (Use Case documents), including GUI descriptions, business validation rules and business service definitions.

The outcome of the Business Blueprinting can be used for detailed design activities resulting in Business Process Management and Workflow Management definitions, technical GUI definitions, generation of database structures and software out of available detailed process design models and object oriented UML models.
